Amarapura

In Amarapura there is the World’s Longest Teak Footbridge gently curves 1300yd across shallow Taungthaman Lake, creating one of Myanmar’s most photographed sites. A great time to visit the bridge is just sunset.

Close to Amarapura is the Mahagandayon, the largest Buddhist monastery in Myanmar accommodating more than 1,000monks during the Buddhist Lent.
